Here you can find a linux library for using the SpaceMaster joystick under Linux. The SpaceMaster joystick offers 6 degrees of freedom and we are currently using it for moving a robot manipulator. It is connected to the PC via the serial port. The library has been written in C++ and offers a class for easily reading joystick values and configure some features.
